Role Purpose
Infinigate are seeking an ambitious Cyber Security Engineer to join their UK IT Security team. This new role within the business has been designed in response to business growth demands and to offer career trajectory to the successful candidate within an fast accelerating industry and company.

To be successful in this role, you will wield a broad range of skills and deep understanding within Cloud network and security architecture (Azure), and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. This role will see you taking ownership of for the delivery of security solutions within the group to support and enhance our security strategies.

Please note this role is based in the UK. Ideally you will be located near one of our office (London, Woking, Fareham & South Cerney) to work on a hybrid basis. However, we are open to remote candidates based in the UK and will review on a case-by-case basis.

Duties & Responsibilities
Working with the Head of Information Security and the Security Steering community to:
Design and build group-wide security solutions against the Group’s security strategy (Cloud security as a primary requirement).
Drive adoption and integration of the latest security technologies.
Installing, configuring, updating, and monitoring security tools and software, such as antivirus, encryption, authentication, SIEM etc.
Evaluate, research and manage emerging cyber security threats.
Support the incident management process, through Root Cause Analysis.
Responding to and resolving security incidents and events, such as malware infections, phishing attempts, denial-of-service attacks, data breaches, etc.
Liaise with stakeholders in relation to cyber security issues and provide recommendations.
Maintain an information security risk register and assist with internal and external audits relating to information security.
Conducting security awareness training and education for staff and users on best practices and emerging trends in cyber security.
Use vulnerability management to improve Infinigate’s security landscape.
Performing risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify and mitigate potential threats to the network, devices, applications, and data.
Complete security audits of company solutions.
Implementing and maintaining security policies, standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory and industry requirements.
Researching and evaluating new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organisation's security posture and capabilities.
Assist in designing, developing and implementing roadmaps for IT security.

General Skills
3-5 years of security experience

Strong understanding of cloud technologies traditional networking skills.

Having good working knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure security architecture.

Experience in key cloud and network security architecture.

Good understanding of NIST Framework.

Exposure to security monitoring technologies

Understanding of Incident Response, Cyber Kill Chain, ATT&CK · Knowledge & experience of common program language e.g., Python, C++, PowerShell, JavaScript

Being able to perform Root Cause Analysis

Experience with vulnerability assessments

Ability to discover, design and document security implementations.

Strong networking skills.

Good understanding of securing Cloud technologies through native and multi-cloud technologies.

Performed Ethic Hacking, Intrusion Prevention techniques.

Having a real interest in Cyber Security and keeping up to date with the latest knowledge

Good anticipation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Benefits
£55,000 - £60,000 salary per annum
25 days annual leave rising to 28 days with length of service, plus bank holidays.
Day off on your birthday.
