Job Title: Cyber Security Engineer
Location: Preston, Frimley or Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Circa £53,000 depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
Provide ongoing management and administration of Cyber Security Endpoint Security solutions and provide support to projects delivering and implementation of Cyber Security solutions
Installation & support of security toolset hardware. Knowledge of networking for troubleshooting required. (For clarity, this is not a typical network engineer or SOC analyst role)
Provide ongoing management and administration of Cyber Security solutions
Provide guidance and support to team members where required
Maintain the technology architecture to verify that systems and processes meet the specified security requirements, and that processes to verify on-going compliance are in place
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
A Good technical background with a proven experience in a Cyber Security role
End point protection: Anti-Virus / Anti-Malware engineering support, including installation & support of the backend product as well as local endpoint agent support.
Trellix security suite including ePO, TIE/DXL, ENS Threat Prevention and ATP, DLP
Desirable:
Knowledge/Experience of Microsoft Defender and its management tools
Obsolescence solutions including Trellix Application Control and Bit9 (Carbon Black)
FireEye HX
HIAB Vulnerability Management
Knowledge and understanding of security toolsets

The Cyber Engineering End Point Protection team:
Work as part of a team safeguarding BAE Systems UK enterprise IT infrastructure against cyber threats through the configuration, installation and maintenance of Cyber Security Technical Control Software solutions and compensating controls.You’ll be joining a function that’s been recognised, including recent award wins at The Lawyer Awards, the Legal Business Awards 2024 and shortlisted in the Financial Times Innovative Lawyer Europe Awards 2024.
