Ascentor, part of the Amtivo Group, is expanding its Technical Assurance Services team and we’re looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing Cyber Essentials function.
This is an exciting opportunity for an IT professional looking to transition into the cybersecurity field and contribute to a dynamic and collaborative team.
About the Role
As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you’ll work within our Cyber Essentials Team, supporting the delivery of Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments. You’ll play a key role in helping clients understand, implement, and maintain cybersecurity best practices. Reporting to the Lead Cyber Essentials Assessor, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality services that help organisations improve their security posture.
This is a client-facing role where strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver Cyber Essentials basic assessments to clients
Upskill to deliver Cyber Essentials Plus assessments
Maintain and develop relevant cybersecurity certifications
Attend monthly Cyber Essentials webinars and team/business meetings
Support Cyber Essentials audit activities across the Amtivo Group
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet service targets
Contribute to the delivery of high-quality cybersecurity assurance services
About You
You’ll have a background in IT and a passion for cybersecurity. You’re proactive, solutions-oriented, and keen to grow your technical capabilities while making a real impact on client outcomes.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
2–3 years’ experience in an IT role (excluding training)
Cybersecurity or IT-related certifications (e.g. CE basic qualification, CompTIA Network+, Security+, Blue Team Level 1, PJPT, eJPT or similar)
Level 4 or above qualification in an IT-related discipline
Certified Cyber Essentials Basic Assessor
HND or equivalent in an IT-related field
Secure configuration knowledge
Understanding of cybersecurity standards and frameworks
Full UK driving licence
Technical Skills
Good working knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS
Understanding of operating system security, firewalls, authentication, and secure configuration
Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solving mindset
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
