Help us create a better future, quicker

Join ScottishPower as a subject matter expert in Cloud Infrastructure Security, helping us adopt cloud solutions securely in line with the Iberdrola Group Cloud strategy. You'll provide advice on designing, developing, and implementing services, platforms, and solutions for our businesses, focusing on AWS and Azure.

What you'll be doing

Your role ensures we meet business needs on time without compromising security. When expectations are unrealistic, you'll propose secure, standards-based alternatives. Work with local and global teams to plan the evolution and improvement of ScottishPower's cloud environments, ensuring our corporate systems are securely managed.

You'll focus on the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and services, ensuring compliance with Iberdrola Group's policies and regulations, as well as industry standards. This includes defining and implementing controls and metrics to ensure proper implementation and compliance.

As a Cloud Security Engineer, you'll enforce standards, reviewing and approving cloud solution designs, managing supplier relationships, providing technical consultancy, and overseeing change management. This role will be key to maintaining a strong security posture for ScottishPower's landing zones, coordinating responses to SecOps notifications, and producing monthly security-related MI stats.

You'll provide technical input for project estimation, supporting procurement activities, and offering technical leadership with the Digital Transformation. Be an ambassador for Digital Transformation, self-driven, accountable, and empathetic to the needs of the ScottishPower business.

What you'll bring

We're looking for skills in Kubernetes security, AI security, serverless architectures, cost optimization, secure CI/CD pipeline implementation, and security and observability tools for both AWS and Azure. You'll have experience of influencing stakeholders, networking with peers and suppliers.

You'll have good experience collaborating with stakeholders, managers, technical staff, account managers, consultants, and outsourced partners.

Useful experience includes: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, and Azure Security Engineer Associate.

We're looking for Cloud Security knowledge of AWS and/or Azure technologies, experience working across multiple projects, good communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure.

What's in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we'll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.

At ScottishPower, we believe it's the little things we do in life that make a big difference. From helping you look after your family's wellbeing, save for your future and take personal steps for climate action - our benefits are designed to help you do just that - so that you have everything you need to take care of your world - today and tomorrow. That's why our benefits include:
