Primary Function

We are seeking an experienced, highly technical, and strategicallyminded Associate Manager to help drive consolidation, optimization andmanagement of Exchange, Microsoft 365 and other associate collaboration toolsessential for enhancing communication, productivity and teamwork across theorganization. The Associate Manager, Collaboration Technology will provide technicaldirection, design architecture, quality oversight and third level escalation supportfor Exchange, Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Tools as well as other DigitalWorkplace products utilized by the Energy Business. They will also have seniortechnical responsibility for selected Associate Experience projects, as well asoversight in a technical capacity for resources supporting Digital Workplacetools.

SpecificResponsibilities

Works with Sr Mgr – IT Associate Experience and VP – Infrastructure & Operations to set strategy for Associate Productivity Tools within the Energy Business, aligned with organizational objectives and IT initiatives. Working with I&O Leadership and other invested teams (Cybersecurity, HR, BPO), influences the roadmap for implementing new tools, upgrading existing platforms, and optimizing their impact to the business. Collaborates closely with key stakeholders, including department leaders, IT teams, and business leaders, to understand requirements and align tool strategies with organizational needs. Liaises with vendors to evaluate third-party solutions that ensure effective service delivery and support. Fosters strategic partnerships with technology providers to stay up to date with new tools and emerging trends in collaboration technology. Assists the Sr. Mgr – Associate Experience and any other invested stakeholders with the provision of data for the collation of Cost, Benefit and Risk components of Business Cases and other documents required to support the strategy for Collaboration Tools. Provides technical oversight and direction for multiple projects related to collaboration tools, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Establishes governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for the effective use of collaboration tools in alignment with security, compliance, and data privacy regulations. Monitors adherence to established standards and drive initiatives to enhance security and compliance posture. Supports the BSM, Energy Co. Power Systems with direction and support of Kohler Uninterruptible Power Systems; setting technical strategy that fits the needs of the business and establishing KUP within a resilient support structure, not dependent on specific individuals.
Provides technical input and governance to support the Sr Mgr, Associate Experience with Resource Management of associates responsible for supporting Digital Workplace tools. This will include hiring & recruitment support, assisting with Max P Goals and OKR set-up and ongoing management of associate performance to technical standards, governance, and processes. Where required, on projects not being driven by a resource from the PMO, allocates resources effectively, balancing workload and priorities within the team to achieve optimal outcomes.
Where required, communicates effectively with leadership on project statuses, challenges, and opportunities related to collaboration tools.

Skills/Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or related field required, with a preference towards a master’s degree. 5+ years of experience in a technology leadership role overseeing collaboration tools or related IT functions. Strong understanding of Exchange as well as collaboration platforms and technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, Zoom, and Google Workspace. Expertise in cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory compliance within collaboration tool environments.
