If you have 15+ years of experience, strongleadership skills, and a passion for driving growth, this is youropportunity to excel in a dynamic, international environment.Reports to: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) Shift:Standard (09:00 AM to 06:00 PM) from Monday to Friday PositionOverview The Cybersecurity Director is a strategic leaderresponsible for both safeguarding the organisation’s digital assetsand driving revenue through the development and delivery ofcybersecurity products and services. This role requires a deepunderstanding of the cybersecurity landscape, combined with strongbusiness acumen and leadership skills. The Cybersecurity Directorreports to the CISO and is responsible and accountable forcybersecurity vision, strategy, and day-to-day operations tosupport and augment the CISO’s overall responsibilities. TheCybersecurity Director is expected to be skilled at effectivecommunication and possess business acumen to align and work closelywith business leaders. In addition to direct reports, theCybersecurity Director must be capable of working closely withC-level leadership, third parties, audit committees andoccasionally boards. The Cybersecurity Director must be personableand drive a synergistic team in which employees have a sustainableworkload yet feel valued and challenged to achieve excellence.Recruiting, career development and retention are top personnelpriorities falling under the purview of the Cybersecurity Director.Preferably, the Cybersecurity Director will have a consulting andtechnical background with the ability to comprehend technologies,their purpose, and their security requirements, wherever they andtheir data reside. The Cybersecurity Director’s technicalbackground should encompass understanding threats, risk mitigationand technical controls. Roles and Responsibilities InternalCybersecurity Program: - Develop, implement, and oversee theorganization’s comprehensive cybersecurity strategy, policies, andprocedures. - Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerabilityassessments to identify potential threats. - Manage cybersecurityincident response and recovery plans. - Ensure compliance withrelevant industry regulations and standards. - Build and maintain astrong security culture within the organization. CybersecurityProduct and Service Development: - Identify market opportunitiesfor cybersecurity products and services. - Develop innovativecybersecurity solutions to address customer needs. - Createcomprehensive product and service roadmaps. - Develop compellingproduct and service offerings, including pricing and packaging. -Create sales and marketing collateral, including pitch decks andcustomer presentations. - Provide pre-sales and sales support tothe sales team. - Build and maintain strong relationships withcybersecurity vendors, evaluate vendor capabilities, and negotiatecontracts. - Develop and manage the cybersecurity budget, identifynew business opportunities, and drive revenue growth. CustomerDelivery and Support: - Oversee the delivery of cybersecurityproducts and services to customers. - Ensure customer satisfactionand successful project implementation. - Build and maintain strongcustomer relationships. - Provide post-sales support and addresscustomer issues. Team Leadership and Development: - Build and leada high-performing cybersecurity team. - Provide mentorship andcoaching to team members. - Foster a culture of innovation andcontinuous learning. Skills and Qualifications - 15+ years ofcybersecurity experience with at least 8+ years in an operationallyfocused security practitioner role and 5+ years of cybersecurityprogram management role. - Strong written and verbal communicationskills across all levels of the organization. - Ability toeffectively manage stress in a constantly changing environment. -Driven to build a strong, cohesive team and positiveenterprise-wide security culture. - Proven high level of integrity,trustworthiness and confidence, as well as ability to represent thecompany and security leadership with the highest level ofprofessionalism. - Strategic vision and ability to influenceothers. - Strong project management and organizational skills. -Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and varyingpersonalities, and adapt management style to effectively reach anddevelop the team. - Ability to gain and preserve credibility withthe team through sustained industry knowledge. - Ability tomotivate the team to achieve excellence, while giving credit andrecognition where it is due. - Knowledge of General Data ProtectionRegulation (GDPR), Payment Card Industry (PCI), National Instituteof Standards (NIST), International Standards Organization (ISO) andother relevant regulations and frameworks. - Demonstratedunderstanding and comprehension of a wide range of cybersecuritysolutions. Additional Qualification: - Proven trustworthiness andhistory of acting with integrity, taking pride in work, seeking toexcel, being curious and adaptable, and communicating well. -Excellence in communicating privacy, business risk and remediationrequirements from assessments. - Analytical and problem-solvingmindset. - Highly organized and efficient. - Demonstrated strategicand tactical thinking, along with decision-making skills andbusiness acumen. Education Requirements - Bachelor’s degree incomputer science, information assurance or related technical field.Certification Requirements - Preferable to have one or more offollowing certifications: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA.
