The Role:

As a 2nd Line Support Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring smooth IT operations for a variety of clients. Your responsibilities will include:

Technical Troubleshooting & Support

Providing 2nd Line support for hardware, software, and network issues

Diagnosing and resolving Windows Server, Office 365, and cloud-related issues

Managing Active Directory, Group Policy, and Exchange configurations

Client-Facing & On-Site Work

Delivering high-quality on-site and remote IT support

Building strong relationships with clients and ensuring top-tier service

Assisting with IT infrastructure deployments, migrations, and upgrades

Project Work & IT Solutions

Working on exciting IT projects, including cloud migrations and security enhancements

Supporting network installations, configurations, and maintenance

Assisting with server builds, virtualisation, and system upgrades

Collaboration & Career Growth

Escalating complex issues to 3rd Line engineers when necessary

Working alongside a talented IT team and learning new technologies

Training and mentorship opportunities to progress into 3rd Line Support

Experience Needed:

We’re searching for an enthusiastic and customer-focused 2nd Line Support Engineer with the following skills:

Experience in a 2nd Line IT support role, preferably within an MSP environment

Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Office 365, Active Directory, and networking

Exposure to virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware) and cloud services (Azure, AWS)

Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues

Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity best practices

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

A full UK driving licence (as some on-site client visits will be required)
