Your new company
An ambitious and well-established organisation is seeking a Server & Storage Infrastructure Engineer to join its high-performing IT function. Operating across large-scale, complex environments, this business delivers critical services and innovative solutions that connect technology, data, and people. You will be joining a collaborative and forward-thinking team that is committed to continuous improvement, technical excellence and supporting its people to develop and thrive.

Your new role
You will play a key role in the design, implementation and ongoing support of enterprise-level infrastructure solutions. Working as part of a team of subject-matter experts, you will focus on delivering robust, scalable and secure server and storage platforms.

As the Server and Solutions Engineer, you will take ownership of technical design work, including high-level and low-level design documentation, and take ownership of the delivery life cycle from requirements gathering through to implementation and testing. You will provide third line support, contribute to strategic infrastructure decisions and ensure solutions meet both current and future business needs.

You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, engaging in technical discussions, influencing best practice and providing leadership on infrastructure projects. The role requires a proactive approach, strong problem-solving capability and the confidence to operate within a fast-paced, project-driven environment.

What you will need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring strong experience delivering infrastructure solutions within large enterprise environments, alongside deep technical knowledge across server and storage technologies.

You will have proven expertise with Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure, including design and implementation, alongside a strong understanding of HPE enterprise storage and server platforms. Experience with Veeam backup and replication is essential, as is a solid grounding in Microsoft Server technologies, including Active Directory and associated security features.

A good understanding of core networking principles such as Fibre Channel and iSCSI is required. You will be comfortable working at both a technical and stakeholder level, demonstrating excellent communication skills and the ability to lead technical discussions and guide project teams.

Additional experience with Linux, Microsoft SCOM, or server management tools would be advantageous, as would relevant certifications.

What you will get in return
In return, you will join an organisation that places real emphasis on employee development, offering structured training opportunities and the chance to work with modern technologies in a supportive environment.

A salary of up to £55,000 (possibly some flexibility in this depending on your experience), flexible and hybrid working arrangements, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your wellbeing, lifestyle and long-term career progression. The organisation is committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture where individuals are empowered to succeed.

What you need to do now
If you are interested in this role, please apply now or contact us for a confidential discussion about your career.

Where to Advertise Cyber Security Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Where to advertise cyber security jobs UK in 2026: the specialist boards, communities and channels that reach offensive, defensive and GRC security talent. The candidate pool is small, heavily vetted and in high demand across government, financial services, critical national infrastructure and the private sector simultaneously. Many of the strongest candidates hold active security clearances, are not actively job-searching through general platforms, and move primarily through specialist networks and trusted referrals. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that security professionals expect. Specialist platforms, government-affiliated channels and cleared candidate networks each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by CybersecurityJobs.tech, covers where to advertise cyber security roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.

Cyber Security Jobs UK 2026: What to Expect Over the Next 3 Years

Cyber Security Jobs UK 2026: roles, salaries and the threat intelligence, cloud security and zero-trust hiring trends shaping UK cyber careers. Cyber security is one of the few sectors where demand for talent has never once dipped. Every major technological shift of the past decade — cloud migration, remote working, AI adoption, the proliferation of connected devices — has expanded the attack surface that security professionals are expected to defend. And every expansion of that attack surface has generated more jobs. But the cyber security jobs market of 2026 is not simply a larger version of what it was three years ago. It is a structurally different market. The threats have evolved, the technologies used to combat them have changed, the regulatory environment has tightened considerably, and the roles being created reflect all of that. A job seeker who understands only the cyber security landscape of 2023 is already working with an outdated map. The candidates who will thrive over the next three years are those who understand where the sector is heading — which specialisms are attracting the most investment, which technologies are reshaping defensive and offensive security practice, and how the definition of a cyber security professional is broadening well beyond the traditional image of a network defender in a SOC. This article breaks down what the UK cyber security jobs market is likely to look like through to 2028 — covering the titles emerging right now, the technologies driving employer demand, the skills that will matter most, and how to position your career ahead of the curve.
