If you are an experienced Network Engineer with solid understanding of the infrastructure that composes a modern building, we have a great role we would like to discuss with you.

The role specialises in IT/OT integration, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity to advance the digital transformation of smart buildings. This role focuses on designing, securing, and maintaining the technological backbone that connects building automation, IoT devices, and enterprise systems. The successful candidate will bridge traditional building systems with modern IT frameworks, ensuring interoperability, resilience, and data security across the entire operational environment.

What you’ll do:

* You will collaborate closely with design and construction teams, technology partners, and key stakeholders to ensure Smart Building initiatives are seamlessly integrated from design through construction to implementation.

* Support & develop solution design from drawings and specifications for Smart Building projects

* Support the end-to-end delivery of Smart Building projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.

* Collaborate with engineers, IT teams, and clients to deliver next-gen smart building projects.

* Integrate and optimize building and IT systems through APIs, middleware, and custom development.

* Act as the Smart Building primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and efficient problem-solving.

* Lead and participate in the testing and roll-out of additional Smart Building software packages, including Tenant Experience and Facilities Management options.

* Communicate effectively with customers & partners to resolve any technical issues/overcome challenges.

What we’re looking for:

* 5+ years’ experience in IT/OT integration, smart buildings, or industrial network infrastructure.

* Proven experience designing and securing industrial or building networks.

* A strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, DNS, DHCP) and building protocols (BACnet/IP, Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT).

* Knowledge of networking, databases, and cloud platforms.

* Familiarity with firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and network monitoring tools.

* Knowledge of BMS systems would be advantageous.

* A collaborative problem-solver who thrives at the intersection of building tech and IT.

* Experience with cloud and edge computing environments.

* Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to diverse stakeholders.

* Evidence of SMART learning through formal courses, industry initiatives or similar

* Awareness/experience with implementing and working with modern data handling technology including RESTful API’s, MQTT etc.

* Flexibility to travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.

* Working knowledge of cybersecurity standards (NIST, ISO 27001, IEC 62443)
