Network Civils Operative
Location: Suffolk
Salary: Up to £48,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Standard working hours, with occasional weekend work as required

Network Civils Operative Job Summary

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Network Civils Operative to join our clients growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for identifying and clearing blockages on both the Openreach and Truespeed networks, completing small civils jobs such as chamber builds and core drills, and ensuring all work is carried out to a high standard. You’ll also play a key part in preparing and maintaining work sites, supporting wider teams, and ensuring health and safety standards are always met.

Network Civils Operative Responsibilities:

  • Locate and clear blockages on the Openreach and Truespeed networks to specification.

  • Complete small civils jobs including track work, chamber builds, and core drills.

  • Carry out rod and rope work and pull in subduct/cable on every job.

  • Ensure all tools and vehicles are maintained and in good working order.

  • Organise and manage correct stores and equipment to complete tasks efficiently.

  • Set up safe and compliant work sites, adhering to Red Book and other H&S standards.

  • Reinstate sites to the correct standard with solid understanding of HAUC specifications.

  • Complete online job forms and required documentation accurately and on time.

  • Support wider team operations, including occasional weekend work.

    Network Civils Operative Qualifications & Skills:

  • Hold NRSWA and PIA qualifications (mandatory).

  • Experience working with telecoms networks, particularly Openreach.

  • Confident operating machinery such as diggers, whacker plates, and stihl saws.

  • Confined space trained (desirable).

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

  • Proficient IT skills and ability to complete online forms.

  • Full UK driver’s licence (essential).
