IT Support Technician

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to provide essential on-site support and contribute to the day-to-day technical operations, primarily within our clients Gloucester office.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Work collaboratively with an external Managed Service Provider (MSP) to provide efficient and friendly on-site IT support, including resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Assist in setting up new users on all systems and applications, and installing the correct hardware in the office.
  • Support the ongoing modernisation from server to cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Help employees with IT-related queries, including Microsoft 365, case management software, SharePoint, and remote working solutions.
  • Maintain and update IT systems to ensure compliance with cybersecurity protocols and data protection regulations (GDPR).
  • Assist in installing, configuring, and updating software applications and hardware devices.
  • Support the implementation of IT security policies, monitor for potential risks, and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Maintain IT asset records, user guides, and troubleshooting documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and remote working solutions.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, cybersecurity, and GDPR compliance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to other office locations as needed.
  • Ability to think creatively and dynamically when faced with IT challenges.
