IAM SME – Warwickshire / Hybrid – Outside IR35

A well-established public-sector organisation is undertaking a large-scale records management system replacement to Niche RMS, and is seeking an experienced Identity and Access Management (IAM) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support secure and compliant access to the new RMS and connected systems.

The IAM SME role will focus on end-to-end IAM activities, including identity lifecycle management, access controls, integration with enterprise systems, and assurance of authentication, authorisation, and governance processes.

Key Skills & Experience for the IAM SME:

Proven experience delivering IAM solutions in complex environments
Hands-on experience with SailPoint (essential)
Experience integrating Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory
Strong understanding of identity lifecycle management, role-based access, and least-privilege principles
Knowledge of authentication, authorisation, federation, and privileged access
Experience supporting audit, compliance, testing, and post-implementation transition
Highly desirable: knowledge of NIAM and experience in policing or public-sector security environments
Contract Details:

Role: IAM SME
Rate: £450 – £650 per day (Outside IR35)
Duration: Initial 12 months (likely extension)
Location: Hybrid – up to 2 days per week on-site in Warwickshire
Start Date: February 2026 (flexible)
Security: NPPV3 clearance required or ability to obtain
