Help us to make a world of difference

Urenco is a global leader in the production of low carbon energy. We work at the cutting edge of the transition to a sustainable, net zero world.

We are looking for an Identity and Access Management (IAM) Analyst to join our team at our Paddington Head Office. In this role, you will act as the policy owner for access management, ensuring that all IAM policies are reviewed, maintained and kept up to date. You will also take responsibility for key IAM applications, overseeing their effective operation and driving continuous improvement.

You will play a central role in ensuring the secure and reliable delivery of the organisation’s IAM services, maintaining the performance, integrity and compliance of core IAM platforms. This includes safeguarding the full identity lifecycle by supporting accurate user provisioning, access management and timely deprovisioning across the enterprise.

Collaboration is key, and you will work closely with People and Culture, I&T, Information Security and application owners to maintain high‑quality identity data and consistent access governance. You will also engage with managed service providers to support smooth day‑to‑day operations, ensure timely resolution of issues and deliver enhancements that improve both effectiveness and user experience.

By providing analysis, insight and operational support across identity governance, privileged access management and directory security monitoring, you will help strengthen the organisation’s overall security posture. The role also promotes good practice, supports user awareness and ensures that secure, well‑governed access is embedded throughout the organisation.

At Urenco we’re committed to giving you opportunities to be your best. If you feel you meet some, but not all of what we're looking for, please still apply. We believe in embracing the passion and potential of our people, and to achieve this we offer market leading training and development experiences. Along with the opportunity to be mentored and coached by some of the smartest minds in the industry.

What you’ll do:

Privileged Access Management (PAM) Support

Act as the primary point of contact for the operational delivery of the Privileged Access Management service, coordinating activities between internal teams, security functions and managed service providers.

Monitor the health and performance of the PAM platform to ensure privileged access controls operate securely and effectively across all integrated systems.

Support the onboarding and lifecycle management of privileged accounts, credentials and systems, ensuring new integrations meet required security and compliance standards.

Work with IT teams to ensure privileged credentials are securely stored, rotated and managed in line with policies, including password rotation schedules and vaulting requirements.

Active Directory (AD) Security & Exposure Management Support

Support the operation of AD security and exposure monitoring services to maintain visibility and protection of AD environments.

Monitor day‑to‑day AD threats, exposures and misconfigurations, helping to uphold a strong identity and security posture.

Review and assess detected AD events, vulnerabilities, attack paths and privilege escalation risks, proposing remediation actions to the appropriate AD and security teams.

Support investigations into suspicious AD behaviour, anomalies or high‑risk privilege activity identified by monitoring tools.

Prioritise and coordinate remediation of AD configuration issues, misconfigurations and structural weaknesses, ensuring actions are assigned, tracked and completed.

What do you need to thrive in this role?

Identity and Access Management Experience

Experience working within an identity and access management environment, with a solid understanding of IAM principles and key information security concepts.

IAM Tools and Technology

Experience operating IAM tools and applications, with some exposure to configuration or platform administration being beneficial.

Vendor and Service Provider Collaboration

Experience working with managed service providers and external application vendors, ensuring performance, service levels and delivery standards are maintained.

Security and IT Operations Awareness

Experience working within an Information Security team and/or an IT operational environment, with an understanding of how security requirements influence IT service delivery and user behaviour.

Preferred but not required

Certified Access Management Specialist (CAMS)

BeyondTrust PAM Training Certification

Experience with Tenable or similar vulnerability/exposure management tools

Where to Advertise Cyber Security Jobs in the UK (2026 Guide)

Advertising cyber security jobs in the UK requires a different approach to most technical hiring. The candidate pool is small, heavily vetted and in high demand across government, financial services, critical national infrastructure and the private sector simultaneously. Many of the strongest candidates hold active security clearances, are not actively job-searching through general platforms, and move primarily through specialist networks and trusted referrals. General job boards reach a broad audience but lack the specificity that security professionals expect. Specialist platforms, government-affiliated channels and cleared candidate networks each serve a different part of the market. This guide, published by CybersecurityJobs.tech, covers where to advertise cyber security roles in the UK in 2026, how the main platforms compare, what employers should expect to pay, and what the data says about hiring across different role types.
