Rockstar is on the lookout for a talented Game Security Analyst who possess a passion for player security. As a Game Security Analyst you will be a frontline defender committed to ensuring our games and services remain secure and enjoyable by protecting against cheaters, exploits, and account compromise. In this dynamic role you'll work closely with other engineering and product teams to detect, analyse, and mitigate threats to the player experience and stay ahead of evolving attack vectors.

This is a full-time, permanent and in-office position based in Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of Dundee, Scotland.

WHAT WE DO
The Rockstar Live Services Integrity team is responsible for protecting our players, employees, and intellectual property.
We support all Rockstar titles from malicious actors and insider threats.
We work closely with other teams to enforce, support, and improve security solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyse and respond to threats including cheats, exploits, account takeovers, and intellectual property (IP) abuse.
Fine-tune and support anti-cheat measures and in-game abuse prevention systems.
Perform security assessments of game features and enforcement policies.
Investigate security incidents, analyse telemetry, and recommend mitigations related to cheating and fraud.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security controls and detection.
Monitor cheat trends, automate detection and enforcement workflows, and enhance account security posture.
QUALIFICATIONS

3+ years professional experience in security analysis, game security, or threat detection.
Proven experience analysing cheats, game exploits, abuse vectors, and IP infringement cases.
Familiarity with anti-cheat systems, abuse prevention, and account takeover mitigation.
Understanding of account security threats, including credential stuffing and account takeovers.
SKILLS

Strong analytical mind with problem-solving skills.
Proficient in log analysis, threat hunting, and security automation.
Familiarity with security assessment tools and monitoring systems.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills across technical and non-technical teams.
Ability to stay updated on emerging cheat methods, security vulnerabilities, and gaming industry threats.
PLUSES

Please note that these are desirable skills and are not required to apply for the position.
Experience working with online games, live services, or large-scale AAA multiplayer environments.
Knowledge of credential stuffing and bot mitigation.
Scripting skills (e.g. SQL, Python) for automation and analysis.
Experience with rigorous documentation requirements (e.g. investigations, analysis, evidentiary records, etc.).
Knowledge of machine learning approaches for cheat and bot detection.
