Cyber Security Project Manager

12 month contract

2 days a week on-site in Sheffield

£525 per day (inside IR35)We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Project Manager to join our clients Cyber Security team, supporting the delivery of a range of high‑priority initiatives. This role will include ways of working, providing structure, momentum, and clarity across complex technical workstreams, particularly in addressing gaps within Active Directory (AD) and helping to assess and reduce the organisation's attack surface.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating activity across 15 AD workstreams, ensuring alignment, visibility, and progression across teams and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Lead delivery across multiple AD‑related cyber workstreams, ensuring gaps are identified, prioritised, and resolved.

Develop and maintain robust, realistic project plans, covering dependencies, risks, resource needs, and milestones.

Assess the cyber attack surface and coordinate actions to reduce exposure across AD and related systems.

Facilitate collaboration across technical teams, architecture, cyber operations, third‑party suppliers, and senior stakeholders.

Attend and present progress updates at twice‑weekly meetings with the CISO and Service Delivery Director, summarising detailed work succinctly and confidently.

Translate technical detail into business‑level insights, enabling informed decision‑making.Required Skills and Competencies:

Proven Project Management experience in complex technology or cyber security environments.

Experience in IAM, PAM, or adjacent identity security initiatives.

Background in cyber security, infrastructure, or AD modernisation programmes.

Strong understanding of Active Directory, its components, and its role in identity and security operations.

Ability to work across multiple workstreams, clarifying ownership and driving delivery.

Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of working with challenging stakeholders and multi‑vendor partners.

Confident communicator able to distil complex detail into succinct, executive‑friendly updates
