About Us 

CybaVerse is a fast-growing cyber security company on a mission to revolutionise the industry with cutting-edge security applications. As we expand, we are building our in-house development team to accelerate the evolution of our cyber security platform. This role is crucial in driving our backend architecture forward as we move towards a microservices-based infrastructure. 

We are also in an exciting phase of growth, with plans to secure additional funding to scale our cyber security app—your work will directly contribute to this success. 


The Role 

We’re looking for aSoftware Developer (Backend)who will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic implementation of our backend architecture while ensuring the long-term stability of our product. You will be responsible for developing and deploying backend code, transitioning towards a microservices architecture, and optimising performance and security for our cyber security web application. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Architect, develop, and maintain a scalable, secure, and efficientbackend services 
  • Lead the transition to amicroservices-basedarchitecture. 
  • Write and deploy high-quality, maintainablebackend code
  • Collaborate with thedevelopment teamto integrate backend solutions with the front end and third-party cyber security tools. 
  • Optimise performance, security, and scalability of our web application. 
  • Work closely with leadership to align development goals with the company’s funding and growth strategy. 


Key Deliverables 

  • Successfully deployed backend code improvements and optimisations. 
  • Migration towards amicroservicesstructure. 
  • Integration of backend architecture withthird-party cyber security tools


Must-Have Skills & Experience 

  • 3+ yearsof backend development experienceinPythonwith a relevant backend framework. 
  • Proficiency or understanding of NEXT.js (Or other relevant React based framework) 
  • Hands-on experience withmicroservices architectureand deployment. 
  • Experience working with: 

Hasura(GraphQL engine) 

Digital Ocean(cloud infrastructure) 

Zitadel(identity management) 

Strapi(CMS) 

Qualys(third-party security tool) 

  • Strong understanding of security best practices for web applications. 


Nice-to-Have Skills 

  • Prior experience incybersecurityordeveloping IT security applications
  • Experience leadingbackend developmentin a start-up or fast-growing company. 
  • Familiarity withDevSecOpsprinciples and compliance frameworks.
