An elite systematic trading firm is seeking aSecurity Engineerto play a key role in strengthening their global security posture.


As a subject matter expert, you’lllead initiatives across network, cloud, data, and system securityguiding critical IT projects, running threat models for complex systems, and building automation to validate controls and resilience. You'll act as the escalation point for Security Operations, driving swift resolution of advanced threats and shaping the long-term security roadmap. This is a high-impact role for a proactive, driven security expert ready to take the lead in a cutting-edge fintech environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance security across critical domains including network, system, cloud, email, and data security.
  • Act as a trusted security advisor on IT projects, embedding security from the ground up and mitigating risks.
  • Lead the design and development of secure architectures and solutions to protect high-value assets.
  • Manage and fine-tune security tools to ensure optimal performance and coverage.
  • Provide expert-level, second-line support to Security Operations for complex threat scenarios.
  • Conduct thorough threat modeling and risk assessments to uncover vulnerabilities and drive proactive defenses.
  • Oversee the relationship with our Managed Detection & Response (MDR) partner to ensure top-tier threat detection and response.
  • Drive execution of the security roadmap, aligning with evolving business goals and threat landscapes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to promote security best practices and embed security into daily operations.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in InfoSec
  • Strong grasp of security principles, best practices, and system hardening techniques.
  • Solid experience with threat modeling, penetration testing, and automated security validation.
  • Deep knowledge of cloud, network, and systems security.
  • Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell (or both).
  • Familiarity with key security tools—EDR, DLP, vulnerability scanners, firewalls, email gateways.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM field.
