What to expect

Reporting to the Head of NBIT Cyber Security, the Senior Security Engineer will be critical to the CISO team’s long term ambitions of developing and delivering “best in class” Security protection, compliance and frameworks.

 

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will work closely with developers, security teams, and IT operations to ensure the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of our software products. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the security of our software products, ensuring that security is integrated throughout the development process, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential security risks. 

 

You will  provide guidance and mentorship to junior members of the CISO function, preparing them for the next stage of their career.

What you’ll need to succeed

As an the Senior Security Engineer who will be vital in aiding us build our Cyber Security from the ground up, you will:

•    Multiple years of experience in a DevSecOps, Security Engineering or related role.
•    Expert knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools.
•    Expert knowledge of security principles and best practices.
•    Expert in cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
•    Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK)
•    Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
•    Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).
•    Experience with a modern programming language, e.g. C#, Java, C++, Go, Rust etc (We use Go + Typescript)
•    Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR).
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
