  9. Manage annual network penetration tests, CyberEssentials SAQ and CyberEssentials+, support ISMS control design, and drive compliance with relevant security frameworks.
  10. Represent the company in customer meetings and at events as appropriate.
  11. Lead and mentor colleagues in cybersecurity practices, create and manage staff training and promote a security-conscious culture.

  1. 5+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role, with at least 2 years as a Security Engineer
  2. In-depth knowledge of security protocols, encryption, authentication, and risk management
  3. Hands-on experience with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection
  4. Strong understanding of cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and network security architecture
  5. Experience conducting vulnerability assessments, incident response, and forensics using tools such as Nessus

  7. Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS) and regulatory requirements
  8. Strong analytical skills with the ability to think like an attacker and find creative security solutions
  9. Experience of working in a hands-on role as part of a small team, as well as providing security leadership and expertise
  10. Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences including colleagues, senior management and to customers

Certifications (Preferred)

  1. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  2. CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)

About Cloud Gateway

Cloud Gateway was founded in 2017 with a singular vision:Connect Anything to Everything Immediately.

Cloud Gateway was born from a shared frustration that networking was being left behind. Amongst the clamour to embrace cloud technology, little thought was being given to existing on-prem operations, and even less to the corporate network connecting everything together. Expensive vendor contracts, long lead times, and poor service are still prevalent in the telecommunications sector.

Cloud Gateway is a boutique MSP provider, combining best-of-breed technology with deep network and security expertise. We are the only tech-enabled MSP in the UK market, providing public and private sector customers with a platform to view and monitor their network and security infrastructure, along with the flow of data. Our connectivity and security solutions eliminate the bottlenecks that stifle innovation and digital transformation.

The business is experiencing rapid growth and plans to accelerate this success in 2024 and beyond. We have an ambitious product roadmap and are building a team that can execute our growth strategy.

We passionately believe that our people are the greatest asset we have. Everyone in the business has an important role to play and we’re committed to supporting the development and progression of all our staff.

Company values

We are looking for an individual that understands and reflects our core values, which are;

How to Find Hidden Cyber Security Jobs in the UK Using Professional Bodies like BCS, CIISec & More

The demand for skilled cyber security professionals in the UK has never been higher. With threats increasing in sophistication and frequency, organisations are urgently hiring ethical hackers, threat analysts, GRC specialists, and security architects. But many of the most valuable roles—particularly in government, defence, and critical infrastructure—are never publicly advertised. Instead, these jobs are shared behind the scenes through trusted networks, private communities, and professional bodies. In this article, we explore how to uncover hidden cyber security jobs in the UK using organisations like the BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT), CIISec (The Chartered Institute of Information Security), ISACA, and ISC² UK Chapter. We’ll show you how to use membership directories, special interest groups, CPD events and informal networks to gain early access to roles most people never see.

Cyber Security Jobs Salary Calculator 2025: Check Your Market Value in Seconds

Why yesterday’s pay survey no longer protects you. “Could I earn more at a managed SOC?” “Is that fintech’s offer really competitive?” Every UK cyber‑security professional asks some version of those questions—usually after another colleague lands a pay rise, a recruiter sends a tempting JD, or a fresh breach makes headline news. Yet salary guides published even last year feel as out‑of‑date as a forgotten antivirus signature. Since 2024, ransomware gangs switched to double‑extortion, deepfake phishing exploded, & the EU’s NIS2/DORA regulations bled into UK contracts despite Brexit. With each shift, salary bands move. To cut through stale averages, CybersecurityJobs.tech distilled a three‑factor formula that lets you estimate a realistic 2025 salary in under a minute. Feed in your role, your UK region, & your seniority level. The output arms you with data‑driven leverage for your next appraisal, job application, or freelance rate card. This article explains the formula, reveals the forces pushing cyber pay ever higher, & outlines five practical moves to boost your market value within ninety days.
