Overview

TheSecurity Analystwill be responsible for managing and monitoring the company's security tools and supporting the company's compliance with NIST security controls. The Security Analyst is a key player in defending the company's data, systems, and network from vulnerabilities and unauthorized access. This role offers the opportunity to participate in a broad set of compliance and security responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor the company’s security-related tools (Vulnerability scanner, WAF, SIEM, MFA, etc.)
  • Identify potential risk issues and collaborate with internal teams to execute corrective steps.
  • Serve as an escalation point for security incidents and investigations.
  • Stay current with emerging threats and recommend proactive measures.
  • Assist in responding to customer security risk questionnaires and audits.
  • Support the company’s evaluation of security technologies and tools.
  • Investigate security breaches and/or incidents.
  • Participate in IT security related projects on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or other technology-related discipline
  • 3-5 years of IT experience in IT security administration
  • Solid knowledge of cybersecurity and security-related tools preferred
  • Security+ Certification required
  • CompTIA CySA+ Preferred
  • Ability to work independently and within teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in writing technical specifications are required
  • The ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and to reason analytically is required
  • Problem solving and detail oriented.
