Job Title:Senior IAM Engineer

Location:Manchester (Hybrid)

Salary:Up to £90,000 per annum + Benefits

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilledSenior IAM Engineerto a growing security team for our client. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing and Access Management (IAM) solutions, with a strong focus onPrivileged Access Management (PAM),Zero Trust Architecture, and theMicrosoft ecosystem, includingEntra ID (formerly Azure AD), Azure, and related security technologies.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in strengthening our organisation’s security posture by ensuring the right individuals have appropriate access to critical resources.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of IAM and PAM solutions, ensuring security best practices are met.

Develop and enforce IAM policies, standards, and procedures.

ManageMicrosoft Entra ID,Azure AD, and otherMicrosoft security toolsto enhance security.

ImplementPrivileged Access Management (PAM)solutions to protect critical assets.

Design and implementZero Trust Architecture (ZTA)principles to enhance security controls.

Work closely with IT and security teams to integrate IAM solutions with enterprise applications and cloud services.

Key Skills & Experience

Proven experienceas an IAM Engineer, Security Engineer, or a similar role.

Expertise inMicrosoft Entra ID (Azure AD)andAzure IAM solutions.

Strong knowledge ofPrivileged Access Management (PAM)tools such as CyberArk, BeyondTrust, or similar.

Hands-on experience withConditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).

Knowledge of authentication and protocols such asSAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect.

Experience withActive Directory (AD), Group Policy, and Federation.

Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or similar) for automation.

Deep understanding ofZero Trust Architecture (ZTA)principles and implementation.

Understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, etc.).

Desirable Qualifications

Microsoft certificationssuch asSC-300 (Microsoft and Access Administrator)orAZ-500 (Microsoft Security Technologies).

Experience withCloud SecurityandZero Trust Architecture.

Familiarity with Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions.
