Senior AWS Security Engineer London / WFH to 150k

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on role at a global systematic trading firm, earning significant bonuses.

As a Senior AWS Security Engineer you will take ownership of securing and optimising the AWS cloud infrastructure, implementing critical security controls and enhancements whilst collaborating with stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment with overall objectives.

You'll manage and optimise the IAM frameworks, implement and maintain Service Control policies and Resource Control policies across AWS accounts to ensure consistent application of security best practices, deploy and manage AWS security services such as GuardDuty, Security Hub and CloudTrail to monitor, detect and respond to threats and oversee the integration of encryption solutions such as KMS to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

There's a modern tech stack where automation is integral, you'll develop and deploy robust automation frameworks using IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation to enhance operational efficiency, leveraging tools and methodologies across CSPM, CWNP and ASPM frameworks to continuously monitor, detect and respond to security issues.

Location / WFH:

You'll join colleagues based in high spec offices with free breakfast and lunch at the onsite restaurant, with flexibility to work from home two days a week.

About you:

  • You have expertise with AWS cloud security
  • You have a deep understanding of AWS cloud services and best practices, including IAM, permission boundaries, SCP and RCP
  • You have experience of implementing and optimising secure cloud architectures, using AWS security services to mitigate risks and protect critical assets
  • You have experience of using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to develop and manage stable automation frameworks
  • You have strong Python scripting skills
  • You have experience of using tools such as CSPM, CWNP, and ASPM to maintain continuous compliance and security oversight
  • You're collaborative with great communication skills
  • You are degree educated in a STEM discipline, Computer Science preferred
