Job Title: Senior Field Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Field Electrical & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer for an exciting opportunity within a leading COMAH infrastructure organisation. This role will oversee the delivery of all Electrical and Control & Instrumentation systems across multiple critical sites within the UK, Europe, and America, ensuring safe, reliable, and compliant operations.

The position offers the opportunity to play a key role in maintaining safety, integrity, and operational reliability while aligning engineering activities with broader commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide EC&I support and guidance to maintenance and operations teams at designated sites.
Manage both emergent and planned engineering issues, balancing safety priorities with commercial objectives.
Oversee the compliance of Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, Explosive Atmosphere, and Power Distribution Systems.
Lead small-scale engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring compliance with budget and standards.
Conduct failure investigations, develop obsolescence strategies, and support ensuring high plant availability.
Assist the EC&I E&M Manager with maintenance organisation, cost reduction strategies, and risk management activities.
Support plant safety schemes and implement recommendations from safety reports.
Maintain and improve the CMMS, ensuring up-to-date knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
Audit site compliance, contribute to EC&I meetings, and review and improve relevant policies.
Mentor and support the development of graduate and assistant EC&I engineers.

Minimum Requirements:

A Degree or HND in Engineering or related discipline.
Extensive operational knowledge and experience working in power generation, chemical, or COMAH sites.
Proven experience in managing electrical and instrumentation systems in critical infrastructure.
