About the role:
Love2shop - part of the PayPoint Group is looking to expand its Information Security team, and we have a new role for aSenior Cyber Security Engineer.You will be responsible for creating, implementing, and maintaining security content such as rules, playbooks, dashboards, and reports for our security systems. This role requires a strong understanding of security best practices, and experience working with enterprise security platforms within a SOC environment. You will join the Information Security team and use your experience to provide technical guidance and mentorship to the existing team members.

What You'll Do
You'll help keep our systems safe by setting up security alerts, improving threat detection, and automating incident response. Managing logs and ensuring our most important assets are protected will be part of your daily tasks. You'll monitor security threats, analyze patterns, and proactively hunt for risks. By using advanced tools, you'll detect unusual activities and strengthen security across our network. You'll also help manage endpoint security, check system health, and work with our infrastructure team to keep everything running smoothly.

Incident Response & Prevention
When security incidents happen, you'll investigate, assess the impact, and take action to contain threats. You'll also work on automating routine tasks to speed up our response times. From start to finish, you'll oversee cybersecurity incidents, document findings, and suggest improvements.

Security Testing & Business Support
You'll take part in cyber attack simulations, penetration testing, and security drills to make sure our defenses are strong. You'll also help identify critical business assets and suggest ways to keep them safe.

What You Bring
We're looking for someone with 4-6 years of experience in cybersecurity and hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Defender XDR, Azure Sentinel, Cloudflare, and Mimecast. You should also be comfortable working with security tools like firewalls, IDS, WAF, DLP, IAM, and MFA across platforms such as Windows, Linux, VMware, and AKS. Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset are key. If you love learning and staying ahead of security threats, we want to hear from you!
