Purpose of the roleReporting to the Head of Cyber Security, the Cybersecurity Engineer will be part of a team ensuring the security of all group systems, infrastructure (cloud and on prem) and applications. The role will be heavily engaged in delivering and implementing the Banks technology roadmap and will ensure that best practice, security standards and policy are delivered.



Good communication skills both verbal and written are essential and the ability to document delivery is a key aspect of this role. A large amount of time will involve working across teams and different disciplines such as Infrastructure and Architecture in an agile environment.



This role will support the Banks Security, Digital and Cloud strategies. Duties and responsibilities: Excellent understanding and expertise in Microsoft products (Azure, AD, O365 etc) Commercial experience with SIEM tools (MS Sentinel would be advantageous) Good understanding of Web technologies and Web application firewalls (WAF) Good understanding of Windows server infrastructure (2012, 2016, 2019), active directory and azure AD Is capable of understanding and articulating the interoperability between technologies and taking a pragmatic approach to designing security solutions for the bank Can work effectively and efficiently with internal and external SME’s / Partner organisations Experience with frameworks such as ISO 27001/2, SOC, NIST, or COBIT

About You

SkillsHas a formally recognised leading Security qualification or is working towards - i.e. CiSP, CompTIA Ideally Microsoft Azure accreditation such as; Microsoft Azure Security Technologies (AZ-500) Microsoft 365 Security Administration (MS-500) Has worked in a hybrid cloud environment and can adapt to both on premise and cloud platforms Is capable of understanding and articulating the interoperability between technologies and taking a pragmatic approach to designing security solutions for the bank Can work effectively and efficiently with internal and external SME’s in an agile environmentQualifications and experienceMust hold a formally recognised, leading Security qualification, e.g. CiSP or CompTIA, and have working experience, ideally working in a regulated environment, in cyber security. Must have experience in delivering architected security solutions across multiple project life cycles and multiple technology stakes. Working hours


37.5 hours per week – whilst our standard hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch) we encourage flexible working and your preferred options will be considered.
