In this critical role you will be responsible for developing and implementing robust security strategies, designing innovative architectures, and ensuring security integration across all aspects of the IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement security strategies and architectures.
  • Ensure security integration across all aspects of Cloud platforms
  • Research and apply innovative security solutions.
  • Align security designs with MoD regulations and best practices.
  • Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling.
  • Enhance security tooling and automate capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments.
  • Lead technical design of systems and services.
  • Support security operations and incident response.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years as a Lead/Senior Cloud Security Architect.
  • Minimum DV Clearance
  • Azure Cyber Security Architect Expert SC -100 certification.
  • AWS Security & Data Base Speciality, AWS solution Architect professional certifications.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Experience with security tooling and automation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Tasks:

  • Interact with a variety of security stakeholders across Defence and other government departments
  • Undertake security planning and assurance activities for Tier 2 hyperscale cloud procurement (build phase)
  • Research and apply innovative security architecture solutions to new or existing problems, and be able to justify and communicate design decisions
  • Align security designs to relevant MoD JSP publications, Defence Cyber Security Framework and Secure by Design (SbD).
  • Research and implement updated security standards, systems and best practices
  • Support Tier 2 Community Cloud Security Forum
  • Develop aplan/roadmap of security assurance activities necessary to conduct build phase assurance of tier 2 hyperscale cloud

  • Develop security patterns for Tier 2 hyperscale cloud platform, including (but not limited to) Landing Zones, Authentication, Access patterns.
  • Develop security architectures and instructions for on premises tier 2 cloud to include retrofit of existing capabilities and introduction of new capabilities.
  • Conducting thorough evaluations of existing S-Cloud security architecture and solution designs, evaluating their robustness, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and recommending improvements to ensure they comply with current security standards.

The role will be hybrid in nature with up to three days per week on site in Wiltshire. This contract will be Inside IR35. Without an Active MOD DV clearance you will not be eligible and cannot be considered so please DO NOT apply without this level of clearance.
