Account Manager - Defence Sales

Northamptonshire, Hybrid working (1-4 days a month in the office depending on requirements, it will vary)

£60,000 - £75,000 basic BOE plus double OTE


**You need to hold SC/DV clearance or have lived in the UK continuously for at least 5 years to be considered**


We are looking for an Account Manager for a rapidly expanding niche Cyber Security company specialising in providing cutting-edge solutions to prestigious customers in the government, military, and private sectors.


Many of their projects are highly confidential, they are undeniably impactful and contribute to shaping the future of cybersecurity.


About you:


You are an experienced and results-driven Account Manager with a strong background in Cyber Security sales within the Defence sector.


You will be responsible for driving new logo opportunities in the Defence sector by identifying new business opportunities within the target market as well as managing and growing revenue in key customer accounts.


About the role:


-You will identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Defence sector, targeting key stakeholders and decision-makers.

-You will also identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and expand the company's footprint.

-You will prospect for new accounts and develop a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities.

-You will collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop targeted campaigns and initiatives to drive pipeline growth.

-You will develop and execute account plans to maximise revenue and profitability from existing customer accounts.

-You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within customer organisations.

-You will act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing strategic guidance and recommendations on cybersecurity solutions.

-You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales engineers, product managers, and customer support, to ensure customer success and satisfaction.



What we are looking for:


-Proven track record in new business sales within the cyber security sector - focusing on the Defence industry.

-Strong understanding of Defence procurement processes and regulatory frameworks.

-Experience engaging with senior stakeholders within Defence organisations, MOD, government bodies, or defence contractors - NATO is desirable.

-Experience with dealing with Systems Intergartors.

-Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and technologies (SaaS ideally), with experience in areas such as cross-domain or data diodes, cloud security, and software solutions.

-Ability to articulate complex cyber security solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

-Self-motivated and results-driven, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

-Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and other sales productivity tools.

-Must be eligible to obtain SC or DV clearance
