Security Engineer - Offensive Security / Purple Team Lead

About the TeamThe team's mission is to build secure infrastructure, platforms and technologies, as well as to support cross-functional teams to protect our users, products and infrastructure. In this team you'll have a unique opportunity to have first-hand exposure to the strategy of the company in key security initiatives, especially in building scalable and secure-by-design systems and solutions. Our challenges are not your regular day-to-day technical problems; you'll be part of a team that's developing new solutions to new challenges of a kind not previously addressed by big tech. It's working fast, at scale, and we're making a difference. Responsibilities

  • Lead Purple Team in one of the largest and most innovative companies in the world. - Ensure continuous development and improvement of Purple Team programs and our security posture.
  • Provide deep technical contribution to Purple Team programs, leveraging advanced knowledge to develop and implement sophisticated attack simulations and defense enhancements.
  • Propose and coordinate strategic initiatives to promote and improve Purple Team within our organisation.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing with other security and product teams to ensure continuous improvement of security measures, design defense-in-depth controls that limit attackers' ability and improve our security posture.
  • Monitor and analyze emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits relevant to our infrastructure and products.

    Minimum Qualifications - 5+ years of hands-on experience in penetration testing, vulnerability research, exploit development, or being a member of a red team.
  • Leading distributed high-performance teams, driving and delivering company-level cross-functional projects for at least 1 year.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding in various disciplines: web application security, mobile app security, network security, operating system internals and hardening, applied cryptography, cloud computing. You're expected to be an expert in at least one of these areas.
  • Proficient in defence evasion and OPSEC practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent debugging / troubleshooting skills. Preferred Qualifications
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration across engineering, operations, and security teams. - Skilled at influencing decision-making, driving consensus, and building partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Working for a large, global organisation within large and distributed environments.
  • Leading Offensive Security, Security Research or Red Team.
  • Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Security.
