What to expect

Reporting to the Head of NBIT Cyber Security, the Security Engineer will be critical to the CISO team's long term ambitions of developing and delivering “best in class” Security protection, compliance and frameworks.

 

As a Security Engineer, you will work closely with developers, security teams, and IT operations to ensure the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of our software products. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the security of our software products, ensuring that security is integrated throughout the development process, and proactively identifying and mitigating potential security risks.

What you’ll need to succeed

As an experienced Security Engineer who will be vital in aiding us build Cyber Security from the ground up, you will:

 

•    Strong knowledge of DevOps principles, practices, and tools.
•    Strong knowledge of security principles and best practices.
•    Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
•    Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, AWS CDK)
•    Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
•    Experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).
•    Experience with a modern programming language, e.g. C#, Java, C++, Go, Rust etc (We use Go + Typescript)
•    Familiarity with security compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR).
•    Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
