Security Engineer | Worksop (with travel on the road) | Full Time | £35,000 - £40,000 per annum

Our client is a specialist in both commercial and domestic fire/security and CCTV installations, supporting new builds and ongoing maintenance projects, to include monthly Planned preventive maintenance (PPM’S)

They are currently looking for Security Engineers to join their team in Worksop.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide safe and effective installations of electrical, security and supporting systems on sites throughout the UK. This will include testing and commissioning of the security systems and investigating and resolving unknown faults.

What will your role look like?


  • To undertake site surveys and provide the best technical advice on repairs, upgrades and installations
  • Project manage installations regardless of size
  • To be responsible for maintaining assigned PPE, tools and equipment
  • To complete and submit client specific handover documentation to the client and project team
  • To ensure a safe system of work is established and maintained for all projects
  • To ensure assigned tools and equipment are thoroughly inspected as part of the ongoing equipment inspection regime
  • Support the security & electrical supervisor and/or manager in the operational activities of contracts
  • Respond to callouts to repair faulty systems and have a flexible approach to working hours
  • Take ownership of customer issues reported and see problems through to resolution
  • Identify excessive working practices and identify and develop safer and efficient working practices
  • To liaise with departmental staff, clients, contractors and suppliers in matters relating to work as appropriate
  • To willingly be part of the out of hours service
  • Ensure the Electrical & Security is updated on developments, problems and other issues affecting the performance of contracts
  • To teach and develop apprentices
  • Maintain a strong understanding of SSAIB standards and actively support company policies, especially regarding the protection of sensitive customer information
  • Complete relevant paperwork to meet accreditations and standards, and maintain work vehicle in a safe, operational state
  • Ensure that work areas are kept clean and tidy
  • On-site documentation (RAMS, etc) is completed, signed and adhered to for every project
  • Follow all company procedures
  • Work professionally and courteously at all times
