Previous blockchain experience, while desirable, is not required and so this is an excellent opportunity for anybody who has an interest in growing their skills and experience in this novel and fast-moving field.

Your mission

Reporting to the Head of Information Security, we are looking for a Security Architect to help lead the design and implementation of security controls within software services and applications that our employees and clients use every day.

Further to this, you will be contribute to shaping the company security strategy, as well as developing and implementing security policies and procedures. You will also work closely with product delivery teams to embed security into the culture and ways of working.

You will be responsible for providing guidance and recommendations to engineering teams for implementing security measures across multiple data centres and cloud environments. You will also be an advocate and leader in driving automation of routine tasks like security scanning, patching and configuration management to free up time for more strategic security initiatives.

What you'll do

Help to define and lead the security vision and strategy for our systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and technological advancements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, business and operations, to align technical security solutions with business objectives. This includes communication/collaboration with senior stakeholders and clients. For topics in relation to security and architecture, you will be able to mentor and coach other team members, foster a culture of trust and collaboration and interact with other teams and stakeholders across the organisation. Provide technical guidance and direction to product delivery teams on security architecture, design, development, testing and deployment of security solutions Establish and enforce security standards, policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices. Lead the design of threat modelling exercises, targeted penetration tests and architecture security reviews, in conjunction with Software & Security Engineering teams. Design and develop secure architectures in both on-premise and cloud based infrastructures, as well as developing frameworks and solutions for securing CI/CD pipelines. Implement and manage security systems across the entire organisation’s infrastructure, data, and applications to defend from security threats. Assist with the facilitation of a security training and awareness programme for all company employees. Work alongside Customer Service Desk and Software Engineers in response to security incidents and vulnerabilities, assist with conducting root cause analysis and lessons learned. Stay abreast of the latest security trends, threats and technologies, and continuously improve the company's posture on security. Work with vendors and internal stakeholders to provide effective incident resolution.

What you'll bring

Experience in security engineering or software architecture, preferably in a financial or blockchain related business environment. Experience in working as a Lead Engineer or Architect and a proven track record of delivering results through effective stakeholder management and providing strategic guidance to teams of engineers. Deep knowledge of security principles, frameworks, standards and industry best practice, such as OWASP, NIST etc. Familiarity with security assessments, audits, penetration testing and vulnerability management Ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment, taking multiple initiatives forward at the same time Experience in developing secure code and implementing secure development lifecycle (SDLC) processes Experience in the implementation and management of a security awareness programme Experience in handling security incidents and breaches, and performing incident response and forensics Strong problem-solving, analytical and decision-making skills Full English proficiency, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
