Role Description:

We are looking for an exceptionally skilled and experienced Security Architect to join our cross-functional project team. This team is dedicated to securely migrating applications from National Grid to NESO, ensuring that security is championed and integrated at every stage of the migration process and ensuring support is given to facilitate these migrations to the agreed schedule. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of security control frameworks and threat modelling, along with the expertise to assess, identify, and mitigate security risks effectively. This role requires excellent collaborative skills to work seamlessly within a fast-paced team environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assess Security Architectures: Evaluate the security of various architectures using established security control frameworks and threat modelling techniques.
Suggest Areas of Improvement: Provide recommendations for enhancing security measures across the application migration project.
Identify and Record Risks: Identify potential security risks, document them appropriately, and work on strategies to mitigate these risks.
Security Value Identification: Identify the security value and logging requirements of components to facilitate Security Operations Centre (SOC) integration and threat detection.
Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all security measures are in compliance with the organisation's security policies and control frameworks.
Collaborative Team Work: Work seamlessly within a fast-paced team to identify blockers and escalate issues as necessary to ensure smooth project progression. Engaging with daily standups and ensuring that they are engaging with the right people across each organisation to deliver the migrations securely.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience as a Security Architect, particularly in application migration projects.
In-depth knowledge of security control frameworks and threat modelling techniques.
Azure Security Architecture experience as a must.
Strong understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies.
Experience with SOC integration and threat detection.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Ability to identify and escalate blockers in a timely manner.All profiles will be reviewed against the required skills and experience.
