Location: United Kingdom (Remote with travel as required)

Reports To: Director of Sales Engineering


OTE's up to £180,000 plus equity and benefits.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Sales Engineer to join our UK team and support our growing customer base.


Position Overview:

The Sales Engineer will work closely with the sales team to provide technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle. This hands-on role will involve engaging with potential customers, conducting product demos, designing tailored solutions, and ensuring the successful deployment of our cybersecurity solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in IAM, cybersecurity, and enterprise IT, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Sales Support:
  • Partner with the sales team to understand customer requirements and design customized solutions to address identity and access security needs.
  • Conduct technical product demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers, highlighting the value and impact of our solutions.
  • Articulate technical concepts and product capabilities to both technical and business stakeholders effectively.
  • Solution Design & Architecture:
  • Assist customers in designing the architecture and integration of our solutions into their existing IT environments.
  • Provide hands-on support for Proof of Concepts (PoCs), pilot programs, and technical evaluations to validate product fit and effectiveness.
  • Address technical questions and concerns raised during the sales cycle, collaborating with internal teams to deliver the best possible solution.
  • Customer Engagement & Relationship Building:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with technical decision-makers, including IT teams and security professionals, to ensure alignment with their goals and requirements.
  • Support the sales team in qualifying technical opportunities and addressing potential blockers to drive successful outcomes.
  • Internal Collaboration & Feedback:
  • Work closely with product management and development teams to provide feedback from customers and improve product offerings.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive solutions to inform customer conversations and ensure product differentiation.
  • Sales Enablement & Training:
  • Provide technical training and support to the sales team to ensure they are equipped to effectively sell and position our solutions.
  • Develop technical collateral, including presentations, case studies, and whitepapers to support the sales process.


Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of identity and access management (IAM), multi-factor authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), and related cybersecurity technologies.
  • Familiarity with protocols such as LDAP, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, and Active Directory.
  • Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid IT infrastructures.
  • Experience:
  • 3+ years of experience in a pre-sales engineering or technical sales role, ideally within the cybersecurity, IAM, or enterprise IT space.
  • Proven experience in providing technical support during the sales process, conducting product demos, and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of engaging customers and prospects in compelling, solution-oriented discussions.
  • Ability to foster relationships with technical and business stakeholders at all levels of an organization.
  • Problem-Solving & Analytical Skills:
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to design solutions that meet the specific needs of the customer.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the sales cycle.
  • Additional Skills (Desirable):
  • Certifications in IAM, cybersecurity, or cloud technologies (e.g., CISSP, CISM, AWS, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and regulations such as GDPR, NIST, and ISO 27001 is beneficial.
