Role overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Director with a strong background in renewable energy and cybersecurity to drive our sales strategy and business development efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of both industries and demonstrate a proven track record of achieving sales targets. The Sales Director will lead the sales team, develop strategic sales plans, cultivate client relationships, and expand our market reach in the renewable energy sector.


Day to day responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the renewable energy sector, focusing on cybersecurity solutions.

  • Identify and target new business opportunities, lead generation, and pipeline development through proactive outreach and networking.
  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, industry partners, and government entities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective campaigns and promotional materials that resonate with our target audience.
  • Lead and mentor the sales team, providing guidance and support to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, provide regular updates to executive leadership, and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance brand visibility and establish thought leadership.
  • Stay up-to-date on advancements in cybersecurity technology and renewable energy regulations to ensure the company’s offerings remain competitive and relevant.


Skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of sales experience in the renewable energy or cybersecurity industries.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, compliance regulations, and risk management concepts applicable to the renewable energy sector.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams.
  • Ability to analyse data, generate insights, and develop actionable strategies based on market trends and customer feedback.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
