About the role

Risk & Compliance Manager

Permanent – Full-time – North East England (Hybrid working available)

The Opportunity
A well-established and growing insurance provider is seeking an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to lead its compliance function, ensure adherence to FCA requirements, and embed a strong risk and governance culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Risk & Compliance team and deliver risk-based monitoring.

Provide expert regulatory guidance across the organisation.

Monitor emerging risks and implement changes for new regulations.

Oversee product governance, FCA Consumer Duty compliance, and policy updates.

Manage relationships with the FCA, ICO, and Financial Ombudsman Service.

Oversee regulatory returns, audits, and incident reporting.

Deliver training to promote compliance awareness across the business.

About You

Proven compliance leadership in an FCA-regulated insurance environment.

Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook and Consumer Duty.

Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills.

Ability to drive process improvements and manage competing priorities.
