Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Delivery Engineer to join our Slough team reporting to the Project delivery Manager. The Project Delivery Engineer is a critical role responsible for ensuring the successful execution of complex projects by coordinating across sales, engineering, procurement, quality, R&D, and other key stakeholders, including customers and OEMs. This role involves proactively identifying potential risks that could jeopardise project completion and implementing corrective actions to address technical or commercial conflicts. The Project Delivery Engineer establishes effective communication channels with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and managing senior-level project interactions. Collaborating with procurement teams, they ensure timely pre-procurement of long-lead items and supplier performance, while working with manufacturing to meet customer schedules and budgets. This position also involves recording milestones, producing detailed project summaries, leading team calls, managing quality incidents via eQMS, and supporting process improvements and compliance initiatives. With a focus on continuous improvement and seamless project delivery, the Project Coordinator plays a vital role in achieving organizational success.

This role is based from our headquarters within Slough working Monday to Friday normal office hours. (hybrid working)

Duties & Responsibilities(not limited to)

  • Fulfilment of customer contracts (deadlines, costs, objectives) and monitor project budgets closely.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed execution schedules for each of the major projects that are your portfolio.
  • Agreeing communication channels with the customer in relation to the different Project aspects.
  • Managing timely and effective communication with Stakeholders to ensure effective coordination.
  • Regularly communicate with the involved parties and keep constant and updated communication with their various senior-level project management.
  • Work with global and local procurement to ensure that any pre-procurement of long lead items is performed, inventory is maintained and managed, suppliers are performing to expectations, etc.
  • In conjunction with manufacturing operations, ensure the project is completed per the agreed customer schedule and budget. Develop and execute solutions when issues arise that might jeopardize either of these objectives.
  • Record project milestones, maintain records of project correspondence, and produce project close-out summaries, including cost analysis.
  • Lead frequent team calls to support project execution.
  • Provide monthly reports on project status.
  • Manage quality incidents through eQMS and work closely with assigned incident managers to close the incidents in time and ensure RCA/8Ds are available where applicable.
  • Support process streamlining activities, ISO IQMs compliance, and support SES initiatives.

Other project delivery initiative tasks as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Ideally have an understanding of Engineering
  • Ability to achieve the agreed goals & objectives by constantly focusing on a set of priorities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation & presentation skills, both verbal and written.
  • Facilitation skills and experience in operating in a matrix environment and adept at swiftly reaching solutions and building consensus under tight deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft suite of products
  • Strong level of cultural awareness and capability to adapt behaviour accordingly.
