The Role

You will join as a Product Security Engineer in the Product Security team of a fast-growing and successful FinTech. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing the security posture of our organization's critical assets and providing expert guidance during the design, development and operation of our products.

To excel, you'll need to be proactive, pragmatic, and highly collaborative.

Your responsibilities will be diverse, focused on delivering results that align with our business objectives. Operating in a fast-paced, agile environment, we are dedicated to transforming the payments sector by building next-generation products.

What You Will Do

Conduct comprehensive Security assessments of our products and processes to identify vulnerabilities in their design, implementation and/or deployment.
Collaborate closely with software engineers to integrate and enhance security practices throughout the product lifecycle, empowering them to build solutions that align with business goals while operating within risk appetite.
Utilise your expertise in secure cloud architecture (mainly GCP and AWS) and containerised environments to collaborate on architecture reviews and threat modelling exercises.
Establish security requirements with a defence in-depth approach that seamlessly integrates with the business and technology strategy.
Risk assess and prioritise security threats and findings by assessing their impact and likelihood, delivering actionable recommendations to engineering teams. This includes findings from your own reviews, and outputs from AppSec, CSPM, Pen Tests and vulnerability management systems.
Proactively contribute to the improvement of security tooling to identify defects through automation of security testing and streamlining vulnerability management.

What You Will Bring

3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in Cyber Security, Secure Software Development, or a closely related role.
Experience working closely and effectively with software engineering teams.
Demonstrated experience conducting security reviews and/or threat modeling for products and applications.
A pragmatic and collaborative approach to security, balancing risk with business needs.
Solid understanding of the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and familiarity with application security tools within CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaleup environment that values adaptability and innovation.

Nice To Have

Knowledge of Kubernetes Security and DevSecOps best practices.
Understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies.
Experience with security testing tools, technologies and techniques.
