Job title: Physical Security Operations Manager (Edgewing)

Location: Reading area. The role could be contracted to any BAE Systems site (preferably Frimley) but on commencement will immediately be assigned to our Edgewing JV in the Reading area. A financial support package may be available to enable this assignment if required, dependent on certain criteria being met. Due to the nature of this assignment, we envisage there will be a need for mostly on site working, however, flexible working arrangements may be possible – please speak to your recruiter about the options for this role.

Salary: £76,000+ Dependent of skills and experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Implement physical security procedures and requirements for all Edgewing facilities areas, ensuring proper processes and documentation are maintained for required accreditations at all levels

• Apply and implement physical security protocols in line with UK and international partner requirements

• Monitor the consistent application of physical security procedures, identifying areas for improvement where needed

• Promote consistency in the tools, systems, and processes used to manage physical security across the JV

• Ensure appropriate handling and management of classified documents, materials, and defence systems in line with relevant policies and procedures

Your skills and experiences:

Essential

• Strong stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership across multiple internal and external functions

• Ability to influence business decisions and contribute meaningfully to the development of policies and approaches

• Experience of working in a highly regulated environment with previous background in physical security

Desirable

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in a security-related field

• Previous experience in establishing security accreditations or implementing protective security controls from the ground up

The Edgewing Security Operations Team

You will be joining a highly motivated, experienced team within the BAE Systems Air sector, committed to the delivery and progression of a Future Combat Air System (FCAS) for the UK. You will play a central role in working across a diverse stakeholder group of functional and delivery teams including tri national industry and government colleagues from across our partner nations to support the delivery of the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).
