Network Security Engineer
Exeter - Hybrid
£40,000 - £45,000 + Holiday + Flexitime + Discounts

This is an excellent opportunity for Network Security Engineer to join a market leader within its industry where you will play a key role within wider IT Team.

This company specialise in the design and manufacture of fireplaces which are supplied internationally. Industry leaders in their field, they pride themselves in supplying high quality products and giving the best service to their customers.

In this varied role you will be responsible for reviewing and managing network services by monitoring internal and external communications and ensuring the security of the organisation's IP. The role will also heavily focus on cyber security through delivering penetration testing and assisting with failover planning to minimise future risks. Lastly, you will collaborate with the Group IT team to support Active Directory, web connectivity, and endpoint security.

The ideal candidate will possess expert knowledge of LAN/WAN/VLAN communications, VPN configuration, and enterprise wireless networking, ideally with experience in Dell core and edge switches. Essential skills include firewall configuration, management, and monitoring (preferably Fortigate), and a strong understanding of the TCP/IP stack. Lastly, familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems, and virtual network technologies (VMware) would be advantageous.

Expert in LAN/WAN/VLAN, VPN, and wireless communications.
Proficient in firewall management (Fortigate preferred).
Knowledgeable in TCP/IP and OS/virtualization (VMware).
Proven track record within a similar role (Cybersecurity Engineer, Security Engineer, Network Analyst)
