Job Title:Network & Security Engineer (12-Month Contract)

Location:Stockley Park (Hybrid)

Contract Length:12 Months

Positions Available:Between 10 and 20

Alchemy Recruitment is proud to partner with a renowned retail organisation undergoing significant digital transformation. As part of this initiative, we are seeking10-20 experienced Network & Security Engineersto join their team on a12-month contract basis.


Role Overview:

As a Network & Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the security and reliability of the organisation’s network infrastructure. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment, supporting large-scale retail operations and contributing to strategic technology initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure network solutions (LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, etc.)
  • Monitor network performance and security systems to detect and respond to threats
  • Support incident response efforts and troubleshoot complex network/security issues
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards
  • Contribute to network optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives


Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in network engineering and IT security roles
  • Strong knowledge of firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS/IPS), and endpoint security
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or similar technologies
  • Familiarity with cloud network security (e.g., AWS, Azure) is advantageous
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ are a plus
