Location:Mobile, Northern Ireland North West Region (Derry / Ballymena)
Hours:Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Friday, 8:30 am - 3:45 pm
Job Type:Permanent, Full-Time

Your Role as a Fire and Security Engineer

As a key member of the GRAHAM Fire & Security Mobile Engineering Team, you will:

  1. Maintain and Repair:Conduct pre-planned maintenance and complete remedial repairs on a variety of fire and security systems, including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
  2. Install and Configure:Perform installation works across various fire and security systems, ensuring that our clients benefit from top-tier safety and security solutions.
  3. Deliver Excellence:Provide exceptional services to our high-profile clients, ensuring all work meets the highest quality standards and adheres to relevant regulations.

Please note that Applicants will not be expected to meet any (or all) of the desirable criteria to be considered for interview. Desirable criteria will only be used as part of the shortlisting process in the event there are a large number of Applicants. About YouWho We're Looking For:

We're seeking someone with strong technical skills and a commitment to excellence. While not every qualification is essential, the more boxes you tick, the better!

Essential Criteria:

  1. Certification:City & Guilds (or NVQ Level 3 equivalent) in electrical/electronic equipment installation.
  2. Experience:At least 3 years of experience in a multi-disciplined fire and security role.
  3. Technical Knowledge:Proven expertise in the installation and maintenance of various fire and security systems.
  4. Regulatory Know-How:Working knowledge of relevant fire and security standards (BS5839-1:2017, BS6266:2011, BS7273, BS4737, PD6662, and DD243).
  5. Driving License:Full UK driving license.
  6. On-Call Availability:Willingness to participate in the company's on-call rota.

Desirable Criteria:

  1. Fire Panel Knowledge:Familiarity with fire panels such as C-Tec, GENT, Cooper Menvier, Siemens, Edwards, Ziton, Cerberus, or Bell.
  2. Security Systems Expertise:Knowledge of intruder alarms, access control systems, CCTV, and intercom equipment like Galaxy, Paxton, Honeywell, and Indigo Vision.
