The successful candidate will oversee all legal aspects of the UK business, manage the UK legal team, and act as a strategic partner to the UK management team. The role will also support Omaze group strategic workstreams such as IP, government relations and strategy.What You’ll Do:Lead and manage the UK legal team, providing guidance, mentorship and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.Develop and implement the legal strategy for Omaze UK, aligning with the company’s overall business goals and risk tolerances.Provide strategic legal advice to the UK management and other senior executives on a range of legal matters.Ensure compliance with all relevant UK and international laws and regulations.Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with Omaze UK’s operations.Oversee the review, drafting, editing and negotiation of all Omaze UK commercial agreements, vendor agreements, residential property purchase agreements and charity partnership agreements.Oversee the review and legal management of all marketing materials, website copy, promotional rules, and consumer communications.Manage the UK Data Protection function in collaboration with Omaze’s Data Protection Officer.Manage relationships and spend with external legal counsel and other stakeholders (including responsibility for budget management).Monitor and respond to changes in legislation and regulatory requirements affecting the business. Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent Omaze UK in legal and regulatory matters.Assist with group level corporate governance work, intellectual property management and general group strategy.Location:

London Based (offices in Holborn)Our Ideal Candidate:A qualified lawyer in the UK with 7+ years of experience working in an internationally/nationally recognised law firm and/or in-house legal department.Proven experience in a senior in house legal B2C role, ideally within the UK.Law degree from a top-ranked law school.Fluent in English required (fluency in another European language a perk).Excellent leadership and team management skills.Extensive commercial, contract negotiation, data protection and advertising legal experience.Unmatched organisational skills and unyielding attention to detail.Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.Extreme multi-tasker with excellent verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to learn other practice areas and to become familiar with laws of other jurisdictions.Willingness to do the tedious, detailed-oriented legal work that keeps Omaze running and can independently exercise sound judgement with minimal supervision.Experience of prize draws, gambling and/or gaming laws a plus.Experience of charity laws a plus.What to Expect:Pension Plan with generous employer contributions.Health Insurance with health, dental and optical cover.Critical Illness Cover, Income Protection and Life Assurance.Employee stock options.The opportunity to work for a company making a tangible difference to the lives of our customers and our charity partners.We actively seek out diversity of thought and experience to drive innovation.
