Junior IT Technician - Entry-Level Opportunity

Are you passionate about technology and eager to kick-start your career in IT? We're working with a forward-thinking investment firm seeking a Junior IT Technician to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong interest in IT support to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment.

Location: Sherborne
Salary: Starting salary of £24,000 PA, rising to £25,000 PA after probation
Hours: 9am - 5.15pm Monday - Friday (1 hour lunch break)

What You'll Be Doing:

As a Junior IT Technician, you'll support the IT Manager in maintaining and improving the company's IT systems and infrastructure. Your day-to-day will include:

Providing first-line technical support via helpdesk, email, and phone.
Installing and configuring desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Assisting with software installation, updates, and troubleshooting.
Managing user accounts and access permissions.
Supporting network connectivity (Wi-Fi, VPN, LAN) and basic hardware troubleshooting.
Performing routine maintenance, backups, and system checks.
Documenting issues, resolutions, and system configurations.
Assisting with IT asset tracking and procurement.
Supporting compliance with cybersecurity and data protection policies.What We're Looking For:

A strong interest in IT and technology.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
A proactive, professional attitude with a willingness to learn.
Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office Suite.
Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
