Our client, a prominent organisation in the broadcast industry, is seeking a dedicated Security Engineer to join their permanent team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the integrity and safety of their cloud infrastructure, focusing specifically on AWS Security.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and maintain high standards of security maturity across the cloud infrastructureManage technical vulnerabilities and support continued system maintenance to minimise technical debtEnsure visibility and reporting of cloud infrastructure compliance with security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, CIS)Develop requirements, design, and implement cloud security tools, focusing on threat detection and risksIdentify, remediate, and report security vulnerabilitiesReport compliance with security standardsSupport security design and architecture reviewsWork closely with infrastructure teams on security design and control strategiesDefine and operate secure development/operations (DevOps) practices, including code scanning and Kubernetes securityImplement system and device hardening policies and reportingConduct technology-focused threat assessments to identify threats and risksDocument security requirements, patterns, and processesLiaise closely with cyber security, infrastructure, and digital teams on new and existing initiatives

Job Requirements:

Experience in cloud security, with a particular focus on AWS SecurityUnderstanding of cloud infrastructure security standards and compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, CIS)Proficiency in managing and reporting vulnerabilities across cloud environmentsCapability to develop and implement cloud security tools and strategiesKnowledge of secure DevOps practices, including code scanning and container securityAbility to work collaboratively with various teams on security initiativesStrong documentation and reporting skills
