IT Security Analyst

A Japanese trading company is currently recruiting an IT Security Analyst to work in their London office.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving and supporting the security governance across ~70 group companies in the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with the required physical, technical, and administrative controls as set out in the Group IT Governance Rules.

The ideal candidate should have extensive security knowledge, project management skills, and excellent communication abilities.

An understanding of Japanese culture and some Japanese skill would be advantageous.

IT Security Analyst Main Responsibilities:

1. Security Assessments Support

• Provide support, coordination, and follow-up for headquarters-led security assessments of overseas branches and subsidiaries

• Assist with planning and managing improvements for identified issues

• Offer guidance and address security-related inquiries


2. Common Security Infrastructure & Operations Outsourcing

• Evaluate and validate the headquarters-provided security infrastructure

• Streamline operational processes and propose improvements

• Support for implementing required physical, technical, and administrative controls

• Design and propose security outsourcing services (e.g., ID management, network diagram maintenance, vulnerability management, EoL management) for overseas branches and subsidiaries


3.Legal Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

• Ensure adherence to relevant European regulations (e.g., NIS2, EU AI Act)

• Oversee necessary documentation, reporting, and audit coordination


4. Communication & Relationship Management

• Facilitate effective communication with both domestic and international stakeholders, including managing time zone and language challenges

• Collaborate with team members and internal/external partners to achieve objectives

IT Security Analyst Ideal Candidate:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the design, construction, and maintenance of security
  • Understanding of security fundamentals
  • Project management ability
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Knowledge or qualification in Office 365/M365
  • Experience in Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with Apple IOS and Android
  • Experience in leading governance to subsidiaries and overseas branches from a security perspective
  • Experience collaborating with diverse colleagues
  • Communication skills in Japanese and interest in or knowledge of Japanese culture is advantageous but not necessary
