They require anIT Managerwith experience in the defence industry to oversee the technology operations, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and driving innovation.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in compliance and secure communications, while aligning IT strategies with defence regulations and business goals.

The successful candidate will lead a small team of IT professionals, demonstrating strong leadership abilities and a passion for technology.

Key Responsibilities for the IT Manager:

  1. Develop and implement the IT strategy ensuring alignment with business goals
  2. Lead and manage the IT team, setting objectives, providing guidance, and ensuring operational excellence
  3. Plan and oversee IT budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness
  4. Oversee the maintenance and upgrades of hardware, software, and networks
  5. Ensure IT systems run efficiently with minimal downtime
  6. Manage classified and unclassified IT environments, ensuring secure access and data integrity
  7. Manage cloud services, data storage, and backup solutions
  8. Review, develop, and update IT policies, procedures, and security protocols to align with industry best practices
  9. Enforce cybersecurity policies to protect company data, driven by the Cyber & Information Security Analyst


Key Skills & Experience for the IT Manager:

  1. Experience in IT management, preferably within the defence industry
  2. Strong knowledge of network security, secure communications, and defence IT regulations
  3. Experience managing classified IT environments and secure cloud solutions


Security Clearance Requirements:Due to the nature of the business, applicants need to be able to obtain UK Security Clearance as a mandated requirement. Therefore, if successful, you will need to provide proof of identity, employment history and right to work in the UK, along with proof of UK residency for at least five years.
