Do you have a passion for problem-solving and a knack for cybersecurity? Gel Engineering is seeking a talented IT Development & Operations Technician to support our dynamic team. Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer, you'll play a crucial role in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and maintaining our computer and software systems while spearheading our cyber security initiatives.
IT Development & Operations Technician Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Everyday user IT support
    • Printer set-up
    • Onboarding new laptops
    • Onboarding new O365 accounts
    • IT security
    • General laptop troubleshooting
  • Help developing our own Intranet.
    • PowerApps & PowerAutomate
    • Dataverse
    • Power BI dashboards
    • SharePoint document system
  • Desire to help build a wider IT department.
  • Identify computer or network equipment shortages and place orders.
  • Register Assets.
  • Desire to learn and vastly improve the company’s cyber security/ O365 capacity.
    IT Development & Operations Technician Person Specification
  • Proven experience as IT Technician or relevant position
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication ability.
  • Outstanding organisational and time-management skills.
  • In depth understanding of diverse computer systems and networks.
  • Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
  • Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or relevant field.
  • The ability to manage your workload.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads.
  • Problem-solving approach to work.
  • Hold a PL-400 Power Platform Developer Associate qualification.
  • Hold a PL-300 Power BI data analysis associate qualification.
