We are currently recruiting for a Trade IAM who will pivot on preexisting & internal key relationships with large business entities with the sole aim of improving & maximising profit channels within the business's sales function. The following will take a proactive approach in retaining & earning new & repetitive custom via prior relationships & will look at enabling customer growth through account maintenance strategies.

We are currently representing a well-established and highly regarded electrical supplier that manufactures and distributes a broad range of facilities-related products. Their customer base includes major retail groups and businesses within the general construction sector. Known for dependable service and capacity to handle crucial orders, they provide wholesale products that meet the operational demands of both commercial and industrial clients.

Description

Key responsibilities will consist of:

Manage all aspects of assigned business accounts to agreed sales targets, developing strong relationships with key customers.
Support the development of new business and revenue opportunities, identifying USP, value creation and strong customer relationships.
Manage inbound business & leads generated by company marketing methods.
Review and approve supplier invoices in accordance with project briefings.
Project delivery responsibilities with internal engineers & external contractors.
Manage account customer service & appropriately summarise clientele feedback when necessary.
Accurately process customer purchase orders and manage expenditures according to specific requirements.
Address customer complaints and queries, implementing preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Represent/on behalf of the company at key Industry trade exhibitions when required.
Collate market and customer information and feedback opportunities to management on a regular basis.Profile

The successful candidate will:

Demonstrated experience in account management, ideally within the electrical trade.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with both internal teams and external clients across all levels of the organisation.
Proven ability to build and nurture long-term customer relationships, ensuring continued satisfaction, repeat business, and trust through regular contact, responsiveness, and solution-oriented service.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, maintaining focus and delivering consistent performance while managing multiple priorities and tasks.
Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently, while also thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented culture where joint problem-solving and shared goals are essential.
Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively to meet tight deadlines and exceed customer expectations.
A proactive approach to identifying and resolving customer or operational issues, ensuring any challenges are addressed swiftly to maintain service quality and account performance.
Hands-on experience with SAP is essential, with the ability to navigate systems efficiently for order processing, account tracking, and data management.
