Infrastructure Engineer / Senior Systems Administrator

Mostly Remote - UK based (with occasional travel to Cheltenham a couple of times a year)

We are working with a PLC Backed tech scale up who are looking for a skilled Infrastructure or Senior Systems Administrator to join their team. As a Senior Systems Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining computer systems and servers, with a focus on Microsoft Azure, PostgreSQL, Azure Functions, REST APIs, and SaaS integration tools.
 
Responsibilities include:  

Manage and maintain the companies Azure based Infrastructure
Designing and implement azure based solutions such as logic apps, platform as a service features and managed container services
Designing and implementing security policies,
Building and maintaining a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery pipeline
Build and maintain automation processes using tools like Ansible
Influencing future systems architecture and technology stack.A successful candidate will have:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is ideal
Practical Azure experience
At least 4-5 years’ experience within a Sys Admin or Azure Infrastructure Engineer role or similar (Azure DevOps)
Strong knowledge of operating systems, network protocols, and web technologies.
Automation tools such as Ansible
Excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary. 
Ideally you will have experience with/in most of the following:

PostgreSQL,
Azure Functions,
REST APIs,
Virtualization/container solutions such as VMware, Docker, Kubernetes.
Cybersecurity best practices
