Role:IT Infrastructure & Cyber Security Engineeraka: IT Security Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Network Security Engineer, Security Analyst, SOC

Location:BirminghamorMilton Keynes/ Hybrid 3 days in the office, 2 days at home

Salary: 48K - 5% Pension, 25 Days (Rising to 30 + Buy / Sell), Health Plan

We're working with a growing global business for anIT Infrastructure & Cyber Security Engineerto help design, secure, and maintain their hybrid IT estate. This permanent role combines hands-on infrastructure support with a strong focus on security — ideal if you enjoy variety and want to make a real impact.

You'll work across on-premise and Azure cloud environments, ensuring systems are secure, resilient, and up to date. Day to day, you'll be involved in planning and implementing security controls, monitoring threats, responding to incidents, and collaborating with group-level security teams to stay ahead of risks.

Key skills we're looking for:

  • Strong background in IT infrastructure — servers, networks, storage (SAN/NAS)
  • Experience designing and maintaining secure on-premise and cloud systems (Azure preferred)
  • Hands-on knowledge of security tools (e.g., Defender for Endpoint, Sentinel, Palo Alto, Tenable)
  • Proven ability to manage vulnerability scans, incident response, and remediation
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, intrusion prevention, and secure data handling
  • Good documentation and communication skills — you'll work with people at all levels

You'll be based out of the Milton Keynes or Birmingham office and be willing to travel to the other location once or twice a month.
